Premier League Team of the Season so far: Vote Now

With already the Premier League completing 25 Gameweeks, vote on which players you think deserve to be included in the Team of the Season so far.

The current premier league campaign has been the most topsy turvy campaign we have seen in many years. Leicester's rise to the top and chelsea's equla drop to the bottom half surprised everyone, newcomers Watford and Bournemouth doing well in mid table, with Arsenal, Manchester city, Manchester united and Liverpool all failing to live upto the expectations.

Dynamic Leicester City duo Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy have stunned England's top flight with amazing performances, while Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil has finally started performing to the level expected from him since his move from Real Madrid and the surprise fall of Eden Hazard.

But which of these players make the cut in my Premier League team of the season.

Goalkeeper: Petr Cech (Arsenal)

Petr Cech is the solitary signing Arsene Wenger made in the summer transfer window. John Terry even said that he worth 10 to 15 points. And so far he is proven to be right. The Czech has made stunning saves on numerous ocassions to bail out Arsenal. He has also broke the long standing clean sheet record set by David James.

Alternatives: Jack Butland (Stoke City), David De Gea (Manchester United), Hugo Lloris (Tottenham), Heurelho Gomes (Watford)

Right Back: Bacary Sagna (Manchester City)

Bacary Sagna has replaced long time club favourite Pablo Zabaleta as the first choice right back for Manchester City this season. The former Arsenal man is a lone bright spot in a struggling City defense this season and has put in a string of consistent performances this season.

Alternatives: Hector Bellerin (Arsenal), Kyle Walker (Tottenham), Glen Johnson (Stoke), Alan Nyom (Watford)

Center Backs: Toby Alderweireld (Tottenham) and Laurent Koscielny (Arsenal)

Tottenham have been not well known for defending but this season under Pochettino, they have one of the best defense in the league mainly due to Toby Alderweireld. The former saints man not only marshaled the defense, but also known for his long range passes which has resulted in two goals to Dele Alli. The other choice is Laurent Koscielny from Arsenal. The Frenchman has been involved in nine clean sheets this season and also has been useful at the other end of the pitch chipping with three goals.

Alternatives: Chris Smalling (Manchester United), Scott Dann (Crystal Palace), Ryan Shawcross (Stoke City), Jose Fonte (Southampton)

Left Back: Nacho Monreal (Arsenal)

Probably the most underrated player in the Arsenal squad. The Spaniard started in all but one of Arsenal's games so far this season. No one has found easy to break against Arsenal on the left side of defense due him and has always been helping his team in attack as well.

Alternatives: Aleksandar Kolarov (Manchester City), Aaron Cresswell (West Ham), Erik Pieters (Stoke City), Nathan Ake (Watford)

Holding Midfielders: N'golo Kante (Leicester City) and Dele Alli (Tottenham)

Kante has been one of the big revelations of this Premier League season at Leicester. The Leicester man has made an European high 103 interceptions this season and has been Leicester's best player along side Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez. The other choice is Spurs teenage sensation Dele Alli. The England man has scored 7 goals and has 8 assists to his name and has been the breakthrough star of the season.

Alternatives: Francis Coquelin (Arsenal), Lucas Leiva (Liverpool), Eric Dier (Tottenham), Dele Alli (Tottenham), Yohan Cabaye (Crystal Palace), Kouyate (West Ham)

Attacking Midfielders: Riyad Mahrez (Leicester City), Mesut Ozil (Arsenal) and Ross Barkley (Everton)

With 14 goals and 10 assists, Mahrez was a certain to make the team. If the Foxes are to win the title, they need to have Mahrez keeping this level until the end of the season. The second choice is Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil. The Germany international simply cannot stop assisting. He has already made 16 assists just four short of Thierry Henry's all time Premier League assist recor in a single season. Besides he also created 100 chances for his teammates in the Premier League this season. The third choice is Ross Barkley. The Everton man already has 8 goals and 8 assists to his name and is showing no signs of slowing down.

Alternatives: Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City), Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal), Willian (Chelsea),  Marko Arnautovic (Stoke City), Dimitri Payet (West Ham), Georginio Wijnaldum (Newcastle), Andre Ayew (Swansea)

Having broken Ruud van Nistelrooy’s long-standing record of scoring in 10 consecutive Premier League games, Jamie Vardy simply has to be there. The current Premier League Top scorer Jamie Vardy with 18 goals has shown that he can handle pressure as shown against many of the big teams with goals against Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea.

Alternatives: Odion Ighalo (Watford), Romelu Lukaku (Everton), Harry Kane (Tottenham), Sergio Aguero (Manchester City)

Hi, I was reading this post and if I may make one suggestion?

When I arrived at this page, there was a large pop up. There was not a clear icon to click on to exit the pop up. Perhaps it may cause some people to be turned off?
